"Journey's End" Coffin and "Bones Rest" Coff-Urn
This is a pre-need coffin, but it will not be buried; it will house the cremated remains of the owner in the "Coff-Urn".
The coffin is made of pine and stained black. It will be used as a display coffin now, and when the time comes, it will house many personal items belonging to its owner. This coffin is completely weather-proofed and has a false bottom with hidden hinges. There are also little coffin holders on the inside of the doors for reading glasses and a book. The hinges and straps are rusted iron; and it also has a skeleton key locking mechanism with a shield cover.
The Maltese cross window is smoked glass and the interior is lighted with 100 tiny lights. The effect when the lights are turned on is that of a "bottomless pit". The Maltese crosses are engraved and are inlaid with brushed brass. There are 4 shelves which are removable.
The epitaph is engraved into a silver coffin plaque on the front. The solid brass skull handles were purchased from a casino in Las Vegas. The handles on the sides are made of burnt bones. There are various name plaques on the coffin and the Coff-Urn. This coffin measures 5 feet 9 inches tall, 24 inches wide and 18 inches deep.
